About Astrid

Since childhood I have been drawn to making art. Painting is my greatest passion. Under my brushes, character appears layer by layer until a gaze or posture suddenly comes alive — a moment that always feels magical to me.

I love vivid, intense colors and a strong play of light and shadow. Atmosphere, character, and stillness are the common thread in my work. While portrait painting was my main focus for a long time, my visual language has broadened; I also create more subdued, quiet scenes where emotion and experience are central.

My paintings do not need to be loud to remain present. They invite you to slow down, to pause and look. Dark tones, contrast, and light play an important role.

In 2021 I shared my work online for the first time, with a small heart. Since then, I have shared my paintings with growing confidence.

My dream is simple: to touch and make someone happy from time to time with a special, hand-painted work.
